BASIC Beneficial Bacteria
MICROBE-LIFT/Basic Beneficial Bacteria is a spore-based blend of Bacillus species. These aerobic heterotrophs (organic degraders), provide the ability to quickly establish populations necessary for breaking down organic waste from fish, waterfowl, plants and other aquatic life in your pond and aids in quickly establishing a functional population in your pond's filter.
As a result, MICROBE-LIFT/Basic Beneficial Bacteria helps to keep water clean and control build-up of sludge or bottom solids. It also helps to establish denitrification, the biological conversion of nitrate (NO3) to nitrogen gas (N2), which bubbles harmlessly out of your pond reducing the availability of soluble nitrogen, which can stimulate unwanted growth in your pond.
Treatment Recommendation
- 20-50 gallon ponds; shock with 4 ozs., then treat with 2 oz. monthly
- 51-200 gallon ponds; shock with 6 ozs., then treat with 3 oz. monthly
- 201-500 gallon ponds; shock with 8 ozs., then treat with 4 oz. monthly
- 501-2000 gallon ponds; shock with 12 ozs., then treat with 8 oz. monthly
- 2001-5000 gallon ponds; shock with 16 ozs., then treat with 10 oz. monthly
